[85] The SEed
Memory City
Urban planning often prioritizes form over experience, widening the gap between design and human life. This workshop brings together designers, engineers, and students to explore future urban experiences through sci-fi world-building and filmmaking. Participants will craft cityscapes, character stories, and short films, using cinematography, prototyping, and sound design to create immersive narratives.
In a post-war future, humanity is rebuilt through stored memories. Capsule 143, a floating restoration lab, nurtures synthetic children for reintegration into a city that replays history rather than shaping a future.
AI caretaker N-02 follows its daily routine—retrieving memories, preparing children, and releasing them into the world. Today, No.4652 is ready to leave. But as one child departs, another returns—a lifeless body, its memories to be extracted and reused. Is this true restoration or a cycle of repetition? As N-02 resets, the question lingers: Can memory bring back life or only its shadow?
